Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who are applying for the NIACL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must meet the eligibility criteria laid down. Candidates should be Indian nationals and should be freshers who have not undergone apprenticeship training earlier under the Apprentices Act. Candidates should not have completed a year or more of post-graduation work experience. Also, they should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The graduation should be completed between 01 January 2022 and 01 June 2026 to be eligible for the apprenticeship program.
Educational Qualification
The candidate must have a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
Only candidates with a final graduation date between 01 January 2022 – 01 June 2026 are eligible.
Age Limit
The prescribed NIACL Apprentice Age Limit is:
Minimum Age: 21 Years
Maximum Age: 30 Years
The age will be calculated as on 01 June 2026.
Age Relaxation
Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government of India guidelines. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) shall be given relaxation of 10 years. Further, widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands but not remarried are also eligible for the age relaxation as per the official notification.
Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will be paid a monthly Stipend of ₹ 12,300 during the period of apprenticeship. This is an apprenticeship program only and no other allowances, PF, gratuity, medical benefits or any other employee benefits will be provided.
Apprenticeship Training Period
The Training Period under New India Assurance Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is for 12 months.
Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment in NIACL.

Regional Language Test
Candidates shortlisted in the online examination will have to qualify the Regional Language Test of the state for which they have applied. Those who have studied the local language in Class 10 or 12 can be exempted from this test subject to valid proof.
Merit List, Document Verification & Medical Fitness
The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the online examination.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification and they will have to produce original educational, identity & category certificates. Finally the selected candidates have to be declared medically fit before joining the apprenticeship.
