The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has released the EPFO Recruitment 2026 Notification for 74 vacancies in its Audit Wing on deputation basis under Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. EPFO released total 74 vacancies for Audit Wing Recruitment 2026. The recruitment is for 7 posts of Deputy Director (Audit), 9 posts of Assistant Director (Audit), 18 posts of Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) and 40 posts of Auditor.

Post-wise Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should be serving officers of EPFO, Central Government or State Government fulfilling the conditions prescribed for deputation recruitment.

Educational Qualification

Deputy Director (Audit)

• B.Com graduate preferred

• SAS Examination under IA & AD or equivalent departmental examination;

Assistant Director (Audit)

• Relevant experience in audit/accounts service.

• Experience in Accounts, Audit or Public Money.

Assistant Audit Officer (AAO)

• Experience in Accounts/Audit/Public Funds.

Auditor

• Experience in Accounts/Audit/Public Funds.

Experience Requirements

Deputy Director (Audit)

For the post of Deputy Director (Audit) the candidates should be holding analogous posts or having put in 5 years of regular service in Level-10 or 7 years of service in Level-8 or 11 years of service in Level-6.

Assistant Director (Audit)

Candidates should be holding similar posts or have the requisite experience i.e. 3 years regular service in Level-7 or 5 years regular service in Level-6.

Assistant Audit Officer (AAO)

Candidates should be holding analogous posts or having the required experience which includes 5 years regular service in Level-6 or 7 years regular service in Level-6 (pre-revised equivalent).

Auditor

Candidates should either hold analogous posts or possess at least 5 years of regular service in Level-5.

Age Limit

The maximum age for appointment on deputation should not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation shall be applicable as per Central Government deputation recruitment rules and applicable service regulations.

The EPFO usually follows the age relaxations as the Central Govt. Rules but for final applicability you should always refer to the specific EPFO notification.

Pay Scale Details

The EPFO Audit Wing Recruitment 2026 will have different pay scales for various posts as per the 7th CPC. The post of Deputy Director (Audit) is in Level-11, Assistant Director (Audit) in Level-10, Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) in Level-7 and Auditor in Level-6.

Tenure of Deputation

The initial deputation period for the post of Deputy Director (Audit) shall be 03 years. The initial deputation period for the posts of Assistant Director (Audit), Assistant Audit Officer (AAO) and Auditor is 4 years. However, the tenure may be extended further as per the deputation guidelines issued by Government of India.

Cadre Controlling Authority Certificate

Cadre Controlling Authority should certify the particulars of the candidates such as verification of personal particulars, confirmation of regular appointment status, vigilance clearance, integrity certificate and availability of APAR records. The certificate should be duly submitted in the prescribed format given in Annexure-II as mentioned in the notification.

Google Form Submission

Before sending the physical application, candidates have to fill the prescribed Google form available in the notification.
