The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released the official notification for the ISRO ISTRAC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 from the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bengaluru. Recruitment has been planned to engage Graduate Apprentice, Diploma Apprentice and Trade Apprentice trainees for one year apprenticeship training programme under Apprentices Act, 1961.

  • Bengaluru – Maximum number of vacancies across all categories

  • Lucknow – Graduate, Diploma, and Trade Apprentice posts

  • Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) – Graduate, Diploma, and Trade Apprentice vacancies

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the eligibility conditions mentioned in the notification.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for ISRO ISTRAC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 should have the following educational qualification, as per the ISRO ISTRAC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification. Graduate Apprentice: B.E./B.Tech in the concerned engineering discipline. Diploma Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering. Commercial Practice Apprentice: Diploma in Commercial Practice. Trade Apprentice: ITI in the concerned trade. Library Science Apprentice: MLISc (Library and Information Science). B.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology) Apprentice: B.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology). Also, only the candidates who pass their qualifying examination in 2024, 2025 or 2026 will be eligible to apply for the apprenticeship training.

Age Limit

There is no mention of a separate age limit in the notification. However, the candidates must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed under the Apprentices Act and they must have passed the qualifying examination within the permissible period.

NATS Registration Requirement

As a part of the application process, the candidates have to register with NATS at nats.education.gov.in. The generated NATS Enrolment Number should be mentioned in the application form. Applications that are not registered with NATS may be rejected.

Stipend Details

The selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend during the one year apprenticeship training as per the rates specified in the official notification. Graduate Apprentices will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 12,300, Diploma Apprentices will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs 10,900 and Trade (ITI) Apprentices will be paid a stipend of Rs 9,600 per month during the training period.

Selection Process

The stages of the ISRO Apprentice Selection Process 2026 are as follows:

No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be given for attending the interview.

Application Fee

1. Register yourself in NATS Portal.

2. Find the NATS Enrolment Number.

3. Collect the necessary documents.

4. Use the appropriate Post Code in the subject of the e-mail.

5. Include your Name, Qualification, Discipline, Passing Year, Contact Details and NATS Enrolment Number in the body of the email.

6. Submit the application to the email of the concerned ISRO centre by 31st July 2026.

Interview Schedule

The interview will be conducted at the respective ISRO centres.

  • Candidates shortlisted for ISRO ISTRAC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will have to report at the allotted reporting centre for the interview. For Lucknow vacancies, the interview will be held at ISTRAC, Sector-G, Janakipuram, Kursi Road, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh - 226021 on 27-28 August 2026 and reporting time 8.30 AM. 

  • Candidates opting for Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) will have to report at ISTRAC, Dollygunj, Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands – 744103 on 03-04 September 2026 at 8:30 AM. 

  • Interview for Bengaluru vacancies is scheduled at ISTRAC, Plot No. 12 & 13, 3rd Main, 2nd Phase, Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru – 560058 on 09 – 11 September 2026. 

  • Reporting time is 8.30 AM. Candidates should appear for interview only at the specified reporting centre as requests for change of interview/posting centre will not be entertained.

Training Duration

ISRO Apprentice Training Duration For Graduate, Diploma, and Trade Apprentice ISRO Apprentice Training Duration is 12 months. There is no guarantee of permanent employment in ISRO after completion of the apprenticeship.

Job Location & Posting

The selected candidates will be trained in apprenticeship at any of the following centers:

• Bangalore

• Lucknow

• Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) 

The place of posting will be as per application and fixed.
