Note: Selected candidates may be posted at any location/office of NHSRCL project depending upon the organisational requirements.

Educational Qualification

For the post of Deputy Engineer (Civil/Electrical/S&T) and Deputy Chief Controller, the educational qualification required is a 3 years engineering diploma or B.E./B.Tech degree in the concerned discipline from a government-recognized university/institute. The discipline should be as per the post applied for like Civil Engineering for Civil/Track posts, Electrical Engineering for Electrical posts, Electronics/ECE/CS/IT/Electrical for Signalling & Telecom posts, Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation for Rolling Stock (Electrical) posts, Mechanical Engineering for Rolling Stock (Mechanical) posts. As per the notification, candidates from any engineering discipline are eligible for operations related posts like Train Manager/Station Manager/Deputy Chief Controller (Operations).

Experience Required

The applicants should be employed as regular or contractual employees in:

  • Indian Railways

  • Government-owned Railways

  • Government-operated Railways

  • Metro Railways

  • Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS)

Relevant Operations & Maintenance experience is essential.

The following experience will not be counted:

  • Teaching

  • Faculty assignments

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for all posts under NHSRCL Recruitment 2026 (Deputy Engineer/Deputy Chief Controller and other absorption-based posts) is 45 years as on 31 May 2026. Age will be reckoned strictly as on the cut off date and relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per Government of India rules for reserved categories wherever applicable.

Salary

Selected candidates will be placed in the IDA Pay Scale of ₹46,000–₹1,45,000 (NE-6).

Besides basic salary, the employees of NHSRCL are entitled to Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), medical benefits, various perks, Provident Fund (EPF), gratuity and other admissible allowances as per the rules of NHSRCL and the prevailing government rules.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be responsible for:
• Upkeep of the high speed rail infrastructure.
• Operation safety of railway systems.
• Tracking engineering assets.
• Supervise maintenance activities.
• Experience working with operational teams.
• Meeting safety standards.

• Assist with inspection and preventive maintenance.

• Ensuring continued train services.

Deputy Chief Facility Controllers shall also be responsible for operational control activities and coordination of maintenance teams during train operations.

NHSRCL Recruitment 2026 Application Fee for Deputy Engineer Posts:

UR / EWS / OBC Candidates: Rs. 400/- (Non-refundable excluding bank/ transaction charges)

SC / ST / Women candidates : Exempted (No Fee)

The fee is to be paid online while submitting the application form and it is strictly non refundable under any circumstances.

Surety Bond on Joining

The selected candidates for appointment shall have to execute a Surety Bond of ₹3,00,000.

Terms apply:

• Commitment to minimum service of 4 years.

• 90 days’ notice before you leave.

•Service period excludes Leave Without Pay (LWP) and Extra-ordinary Leave (EOL).

Surety Bond on Training

In case training is provided by NHSRCL, the selected candidates will have to furnish additional training bond for:

• Cost of training.

• Taxes applicable.

• Minimum 6 years service after completion of training.

• Three months’ notice before leaving.
